ABOUT THE BRAND

Druzy Damsel strives to embrace natural elements within collections of handmade jewellery. No two stones are alike – each piece has it's own unique characteristics, making a collection of jewellery that is perfectly imperfect.

The collections are a representation of nature's spirit. Each raw gem and rough stone is a unique piece that represents its origins in the earth, with different stones associated with different elements of nature. The four traditional elements in Western culture are Earth, Air, Fire, and Water - all of which Druzy Damsel strives to embrace within each collection.

 

ABOUT THE DESIGNER

The designer, Suruchi Chugh, started Druzy Damsel as a hobby while still pursuing a full time job in a city both new and old to her. She describes her brand as statement jewellery, drawing from Eastern and Ethnic influence for women looking for something out of the ordinary. It was her way of bringing a little bit of India with her when she moved to Sydney from New Delhi in 2014.

Even though she moved to Australia, the connection she felt back home to India was powerful and became a part of how she expressed herself, from what she wore, to her interaction, and eventually into her work.

After delivering her beautiful daughter in 2018, Suruchi couldn't find herself going back to work and followed her long time dream to make this beautiful hobby, a full time business. Suruchi felt it was time to move ahead with her own endeavours, and she now creates her own jewellery that is both elegant and vibrant, and can be worn by anyone.
